Horizon Europe Research Managers Events Update and Presentations

Over the past couple of months, we were delighted to deliver a series of Horizon Europe Research Managers events in London, Leicester and Leeds. The events brought together UK National Contact Points, research managers, colleagues from the Department for Science, Innovation and Technology, as well as partners from the European Commission and Universities UK International.  

These in-person sessions provided a valuable space to explore the latest updates on Horizon Europe participation, share practical insights, and strengthen peer networks at a crucial time for the UK research community. 

Across the three locations, discussions focused on:

  • Recent policy and programme developments within Horizon Europe
  • Practical guidance on supporting applicants and coordinating bids
  • Managing collaborative partnerships and consortium building
  • Financial and compliance considerations
  • Strengthening institutional strategies for European funding

The events were highly interactive, with participants sharing experiences, challenges and good practices from their own institutions. The collaborative atmosphere reinforced the strength and resilience of the UK research management community. 

We were particularly encouraged by the level of engagement in each city and the appetite for continued knowledge exchange and peer support.
