The European Commission has published the draft Horizon Europe Work Programme part for ‘Horizontal Activities’ – which includes new calls for proposals – on its Comitology Register.
These new funding opportunities include calls on Biodiversity and Bridging Actions, and are in addition to existing calls in the 2026-27 Work Programme published in December 2025.
The call topics have been developed with input from EU Member States and Associated Countries, and aim to bridge between Horizon Europe and FP10; the UK and other Associated Countries are eligible to participate under the Horizon Europe association agreement.

In general, the bridging actions are focused on particular topics and technologies in the innovation pathway, where targeting additional funding will advance the topic or technology development in question.
