One of the novelties in Horizon Europe is the requirement that legal entities established in Member States or Horizon Europe Associated Countries, which are public bodies, research organisations or higher education establishments, will need to have a Gender Equality Plan (GEP) in place by the time they need to sign their first grant agreements for calls with deadlines in 2022. The GEP can be a single document or a compilation of multiple documents provided that they meet the mandatory elements as presented in the recently published Guidance on Gender Equality Plans in Horizon Europe.

Who should attend?
This event is intended for EU research support staff, Equality, Diversity and Inclusion teams and researchers who are interested to know more about the Gender Equality Plans requirements for beneficiaries of Horizon Europe.
Programme outline
The agenda will include a presentation by Prof Anne Laure Humbert and Dr Charoula Tzanakou (Centre for Diversity Policy Research and Practice, Oxford Brookes University) who will present the main components of the GEP requirement, resources for developing and implementing a GEP, and potential equivalences with existing plans or policies. This intervention will be informed by the findings of Horizon 2020 funded research projects: CASPER, GEARING-Roles and PLOTINA.
The plenary session will be followed by the opportunity to share experiences of working towards meeting the GEP requirement in break-out rooms.
