Update on the MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowships 2023 Call Proposal Template

UKRO would like to provide subscribers with an overview of novelties in the call documents for the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) Postdoctoral Fellowships (PF) 2023 call.

Part A of the 2023 PF Proposal

  • In section 5, the question on secondments has been removed.

Part B of the 2023 PF Proposal

  • Tables are no longer limited to illustrative purposes only, and can contain core text.
  • The minimum font size for tables has increased to font size 11, in line with the standard application form template. The minimum font size for the Gantt chart remains at font size 8.
  • An additional sub-criterion under section 1.2 has been included for applicants planning on using, developing and/or deploying artificial intelligence (AI) based systems and/or techniques.
  • Section 8 “Environmental considerations in light of the MSCA Green Charter” has been added.
  • Applicants cannot delete the tags in the proposal template as they are needed for the internal processing of information.
  • The letter of commitment for the optional non-academic placement is no longer required.
  • Several small changes were made to the text to better align it with the standard application form template, in line with the corporate approach under Horizon Europe.
  • The full list of changes is available in the “History of Changes” section of the template.

Applicants are advised to use the updated version of the proposal template for their application which can be downloaded once the submission process has been started in the Funding & Tender Opportunities Portal.

PF 2023 Guide for Applicants

  • The statement on the evaluation of eligible resubmissions has been updated to reference the MSCA PF 2022 call.
  • For those including a secondment, additional information has been added to help applicants complete the application forms.
  • The text explaining the secondment at the start of the Global Fellowship has been updated to provide further clarification.
