As part of the process of sunsetting the UKRO Brand and moving towards a holistic UKRI Horizon Europe website resource, we have introduced a number of updates to the UKRO portal aimed at simplifying access and improving the user experience. These changes include the removal of the login requirement and the discontinuation of the European Liaison Office (ELO) section.
Open access to all content
All UKRO news stories, event listings and website content are now openly accessible without the need to sign in. This change has already been implemented, meaning users can freely browse the full range of UKRO information directly via the website.
Removal of login functionality
Following the move to open access, the ability to sign into the UKRO portal will soon be removed entirely. Users who previously had accounts will receive an email notification confirming that their user account has been deleted.
Email alerts remain unchanged
Importantly, any email alert subscriptions will not be affected by these changes. Subscribers will continue to receive updates and notifications as normal, regardless of the removal of user accounts.
These updates are intended to make our resources more accessible and easier to navigate, removing barriers to information while maintaining key communication channels with the research and innovation community.
Finally, we hope to launch a new website later this year, and will communicate updates on this in the coming months. Thank you for your continued engagement.
