UK Researchers at Risk Research Support Grants Open for Applications

The Leverhulme Trust Board has opened a new funding call for Researchers at Risk who have come to the UK from around the world. The collection deadline is 27 September 2023 (5:00 pm UK time).

This initiative, called ‘British Academy/Cara/Leverhulme Researchers at Risk Research Support Grants’, will be delivered by the British Academy and the Council for At-Risk Academics (Cara). It is anticipated that the Leverhulme Trust will be providing grants with a total value of £1,000,000 over five years for researchers at risk.

Applicants can request grants of at least £2000 and up to £10,000 in all research disciplines except medical and health sciences. The grants must be used to facilitate initial project planning and development, research assistance and to enable the advancement of research through conference/workshop or visits by or to partner scholars.

To be eligible, applicants must be active postdoctoral researchers, mid-career researchers, senior or established researchers. Applicants must also hold an appropriate UK visa before funding can be released.
