Applications are open for the EU TalentON 2024. Initiated, funded and co-created by the European Commission, EU TalentOn is a competition for young, bright scientists from all over Europe.
The 2024 edition, taking place in the European City of Science 2024, Katowice in Poland, from 9 to 14 September, is open to young researchers aged 21-35, representing all scientific disciplines. They will team up to develop innovative solutions responding to actual societal challenges.
During the 4-day hackathon, the ambitious scientists will be asked to team up and respond with the best possible scientific solutions to a problem in the area of any one of the five missions of the European Union included in the Horizon Europe programme:
- Adaptation to Climate Change
- Cancer Prevention and Care
- Restore our Ocean and Waters by 2030
- 100 Climate-Neutral and Smart Cities by 2030
- A Soil Deal for Europe
The winning team will receive a cash prize from a total pool of EUR 75,000. Registration is already open, and the sign-up deadline is July 7. For more information and to apply, please visit the EU TalentON website.
