Experts worldwide are now invited to register on the Wideraexperts.eu portal. If accepted, these experts will provide advice to Horizon Europe applicants from Widening Countries. The service is free of charge for applicants, and remuneration is foreseen for evaluators.
Wideraexperts.eu is an EU-funded portal that aims to increase the participation of Widening Countries (countries with low participation rates in FP7 and H2020 projects) in Horizon Europe by improving the quality of their proposals.
Registrations are open for applicants and National Contact Points (NCPs) from eligible countries and experts worldwide. First, the portal matches the experts with applicants from Widening countries. The experts are then invited to screen the proposal and provide their advice on improving it.
For NCPs
NCPs from eligible countries can use wideraexperts.eu to facilitate a matchmaking process between the applicant and the expert. Their role is to verify, select and match the experts with the applicants based on the information provided during the registration process.
For Applicants
Applicants from eligible countries (proposal coordinators or work package leaders) can submit their proposals for a professional pre-check through the portal. They will be matched with an expert who will give their recommendations on improving the proposal’s quality. The service is entirely free of charge for applicants.
For Experts
Experts from any country can indicate their field of expertise during registration. If their expertise matches a proposal, they may be invited to screen it. All experts will receive remuneration for the service and have the opportunity to increase their network within Horizon Europe.
The portal was created by the network of NCPs under the NCP_WIDERA.NET project and is managed by the National Centre for Research and Development (Poland). A user guide to the portal is available online.
