What changes on the new UKRO Portal?
The new Portal effectively combines the existing UKRO resources such as articles, webinar recordings and factsheets – available to subscribers on the old Portal – with new functionalities and visually attractive content. Accessing these and other resources is now easier, as it takes into account a typical user journey based on the feedback provided by subscribers. The new Portal also fully integrates UKRO’s new visual identity, which subscribers might have already spotted in our presentation slides and factsheets.
UKRO would like to thank all Portal users who volunteered to help design and test the new Portal to make it more user-friendly and relevant for our subscribers.
What do I need to do after the launch?
The switch to the new Portal happened in the background, and existing user accounts were automatically transferred to the new UKRO Portal. You are now requested to reset your password, review your details and update your mailing preferences.
We do anticipate heavier-than-usual traffic on the Portal in the next few days, which means that the Portal may be inaccessible for a short period. If this happens, we encourage subscribers to view the Portal again later in the day.
Legacy articles on the new Portal
Due to the significant volume of resources that have been transferred onto the new Portal, we are still in the process of checking the content manually. Some news articles may have picked up errors during the migration process where characters such as apostrophes, quotation marks or hyphens are displayed incorrectly. Furthermore, inevitably, many links to previous Portal articles and other resources may have been broken in the process.
If you need to access our past resources but cannot do so due to the effects of the automatic migration process, you can notify us about any errors or broken links by emailing ukro@ukro.ac.uk, with “New Portal Error” in the subject line.
