The switch to the new UKRO Portal happened in the background earlier this week, and all existing user accounts were automatically transferred to the new site.
The Portal and all its resources are now accessible to all users and we are working hard to restore our email alert service and other critical functionalities of the Portal as quickly as possible.
As is usually the case with IT projects of this magnitude, not everything went according to plan and we would like to apologise to subscribers for any inconvenience the migration to our new systems and website might have caused.
Here are a few things that we would like subscribers to note in the coming days:
Password reset
Users with an existing account will need to request a password reset before they can access the new Portal for the first time.
For security reasons, the system that we are currently using on the new Portal does not allow users to set up custom passwords (except during registration) and only passwords automatically generated by the system can be used to log in to the site, if you are an existing user.
We are looking into the possibility to have this changed in the future, but for now, we recommend saving the generated password in your browser (‘Keep me signed in’ tick box) on any devices that you use to access the UKRO Portal such as PCs, laptops and mobile phones or using a password manager, if possible.
Email newsletter
We are working hard on restarting our daily/weekly email update service and will provide an update on this shortly.
In the meantime, our latest articles are accessible directly in the ‘News’ section of the Portal.
New registrations
Unexpected technical issues are currently preventing new users from registering on the new Portal and we are working hard on resolving them as quickly as we can.
