MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowship – Information

Dear colleagues,

We have heard from some of you that the number of applications to the MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowship (MSCA PF) scheme (2025 call deadline: 10 September) has increased substantially this year. We’ve also noticed an increase in the number of queries on our side; hence we’ve decided to share with you some of the MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowship 2025 call Information we collated from some of our most frequently asked questions. We hope this will help the development and submission of MSCA PF applications at your host institutions.

Here is a list of resources that the fellow and the supervisor may find useful to help them preparing an application to MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowships scheme:

  • MSCA Work Programme 2023-2025 has information about the MSCA’s ethos, including all the different actions under the programme
  • Guide for Applicants has a section dedicated to technical aspects of proposal submission as well as a definition of the different terminology that the Research Executive Agency uses, valuable information on eligibility conditions, secondments, etc.
  • Standard application form has instructions on how to complete Part A, Part B1 and Part B2
  • Most frequent mistakes in the PF proposal submission lists the most common mistakes to avoid when starting the submission of the MSCA PF application in the EU Funding & Tenders portal and has a step-by-step guidance on how to submit the proposal
  • MSCA-Net Handbook contains the feedback from previous evaluators, and advice on how to write your application with this evaluation criteria in mind
  • MSCA Supervision Guidelines is a useful source of information for supervision arrangements, expectations from the supervisor, supervisory relationships, etc.

  • EU Funding & Tenders portal is the platform that the European Commission uses to submit your proposal and manage the awards
  • UKRO portal contains recordings, slides and other free information such as case studies and factsheets
