Bournemouth University (BU) seeks a Research Facilitator in Life Sciences and a Funding Development Officer.
Research Facilitator in Life Sciences
The post-holder will proactively contribute to the growth and development of research activity in their specialist area, as well as for BU’s Strategic Investment Areas, including horizon scanning, the strategic targeting of funding sources and opportunities, developing and critiquing proposals with academic colleagues, and developing inter/multidisciplinary research collaborations. The Research Facilitator will manage one Funding Development Officer who undertakes operational duties, including proposal coordination, costing and proposal submission:

- Hours: Full-time.
Funding Development Officer
The post-holder will be responsible for the operational support of funding applications to external bodies. As one of a team of Officers and Facilitators, they will play a pivotal role in supporting the University’s research and knowledge exchange activities and being the first point of contact for academic colleagues submitting funding applications. The candidate will have demonstrable experience of administration in a large organisation, with some knowledge and interest in the research and knowledge exchange area of Higher Education, plus an understanding of external research funding bodies:
