Humanities in the European Research Area Network (HERA) has commissioned an analysis of the impact of its investment on project participants and the contribution of HERA research to public engagement and knowledge exchange. As a result, two following publications have been produced by researchers based in the UK:
The “HERA Leverage 2010-2022” report assesses the impact of the HERA initiative, addressing the effects on project participants in the following areas:
- Financial leverage
- Network development
- Strengthening human capital in research
- Career development
- Gender representation
The report includes case studies, testimonies from HERA project participants, and the assessment of HERA’s success and recommendations for developing future initiatives.
The “HERA Knowledge Exchange & Impact” publication showcases the contribution of HERA-funded projects to public engagement, knowledge exchange and impact. It provides multiple examples of the importance of humanities research for society’s development and well-being and addresses a number of effects on culture, identity and ways of life.
The Arts and Humanities Research Council (AHRC), UKRI, is a member of HERA, as part of its international partnerships and programmes.
