On 14 July 2026, UKRI hosted the latest Horizon Europe Research Managers Event at the University of Warwick, bringing together research managers and professional support staff from across the UK research and innovation sector. The event formed part of UKRI’s programme of activities to strengthen institutional capacity for Horizon Europe participation and to support the UK’s continued success in the programme.
The discussions focused on:
- UK participation in Horizon Europe
- Developments related to the next Framework Programme (FP10)
- University support systems to succeed with Horizon Europe
- Developing collaborative proposals within Horizon Europe
- Legal and Finance Top Tips
The event was highly collaborative, and attendees took part in interactive discussions to exchange good practice and identify practical actions to strengthen Horizon Europe engagement within their institutions. The collaborative atmosphere reinforced the strength and resilience of the UK research management community.
