As of 31 December 2022, more than 1200 recipients in the UK have been granted Horizon Europe Guarantee funding worth over £600 million in total, the latest data shows.
United Kingdom Research and Innovation (UKRI) has published the updated application and grant offer statistics on the Horizon Europe Guarantee funding for researchers and innovators who cannot receive their Horizon Europe grants, while the UK is in the process of associating to Horizon Europe.
The statistics show:
- 1567 verified applications submitted to UKRI, worth a total of £768.2 million; including
- 1248 grant offer letters issued, worth a total of £645 million.
This data will be updated as more applications are processed and awards are made.
For the first time, the UKRI statistics also include the breakdown by country, showing the number of grants awarded to organisations based in England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. These statistics will be updated quarterly.
