Background and Next Steps
The European Commission has prepared this draft paper to propose new European Partnerships to be included in the Horizon Europe Strategic Plan 2025-2027.
These new partnerships are expected to contribute to delivering on EC’s policy priorities, such as the European Green Deal, the Digital Transition and the EU’s reinforced open strategic autonomy, in line with the new impact-driven policy approach set out in Horizon Europe.
From July to September 2023, the Commission will consult the proposal with EU Member States and Horizon Europe Associated Countries, who will be able to provide feedback and/or propose other partnerships. The final list will be approved with the adoption of the next Horizon Europe Strategic Plan in 2024.
