The European Commission recently published a policy brief discussing the impact of the Arts and Culture on wellbeing, mental health and inclusion, and their role in opening new policy avenues.
The policy brief follows the publication of the European Commission’s monitoring report on the integration of Social Sciences and Humanities (SSH) across Horizon 2020. It advances critical policy recommendations based on the results of EU-funded projects.
The integration of SSH is an essential programme feature in Horizon 2020 and Horizon Europe. In particular, SSH should be fully integrated across all clusters under Pillar II ‘Global Challenges and European Industrial Competitiveness’.
Multi-disciplinary consortia combining social sciences, humanities, science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics produce the most successful research results for well-being, fostering community involvement, empowerment, and social integration.
