Draft Work Programmes 2026/27 available on the Commission Comitology site

The European Commission has recognised that prospective applicants require time to plan for calls, to build networks and consortia, and to collaborate on high quality, competitive proposals.

The time available to do this from adoption of Work Programmes (WP) and formal publication, through to deadlines is often too short, and anecdotal reports suggested that applicants or consortia that had been able to access a draft copy of the WP were able to make stronger applications.

UKRO is pleased to communicate that the Commission is now publishing draft WPs on the Comitology website in order to give all interested parties across the European research area, the same opportunity to familiarise themselves with the call topics and time to build consortia.

Please note, that draft WPs are developed iteratively with input from the relevant Programme Committee, and that call topics or nuances therein may change before final publication.

We advise prospective applicants and ELOs reach out to National Contact Points (NCPs) to discuss funding opportunities for WP2026/27 further – NCP details are available on the UK Government website.

UKRO will post further updates when final versions of WPs are prepublished and formally adopted.
