The COST Association has published a Gender Equality Plan (GEP) outlining how it will support an inclusive culture and gender dimension in any research carried out in COST Actions.
In order to advance gender equality initiatives and activities of the COST Programme, the COST Committee of Senior Officials (CSO) decided to establish a Working Group on ‘the development of a Gender Equality Plan (GEP) for activities in the COST Programme’. This GEP is the result of the work of this group and includes the following specific Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for COST in Horizon Europe:
- 50% of researchers and innovators in COST Actions to be women
- 50% of leadership positions on COST Actions occupied by women researchers
- 50% of young researchers and innovators participating in COST Actions to be women
- 50% of researchers and innovators coming from Inclusiveness Target Countries (ITCs) to be women.
Further information regarding how these targets will be met and other specific supporting activities can be found in the online document.
A separate GEP is under development for the COST Association as a legal entity. This will be released later in 2024.
