COST Annual Call 2023 – Initial Submission Data

The COST Association has published some preliminary data regarding submissions to its annual open call for 2023.

The data indicates that for this call, 522 proposals for new COST Actions were submitted. This constitutes a 40% increase from last year and the second-highest amount of submitted COST proposals. There were also more women as main proposers compared to the last year.

The data also shows that 40 different COST Member Countries submitted to this collection as a main proposer, with Italy, Spain, and Portugal hosting the highest number of main proposers. 38 of the proposals had the UK as main proposer, an increase from 31 in 2022.

The proposals will now undergo evaluation and up to 70 new Actions will be approved in May 2024. Further information is available on the COST website.
