Workshop – Call for Practitioners Directly Involved in EU R&I Lump Sum Projects

The Informal Group of Liaison Offices (IGLO) Implementation Working Group is hosting the third edition of its IGLO in Action Workshop on Lump Sum Funding on 21 May (10:00–12:30 Brussels time).

This is a virtual event to bring together practitioners who are directly involved in lump sum projects under the EU Research Framework Programme to discuss their experiences and insights.

Discussions will take place in facilitated small groups. Commission staff will be present as listeners only.

Due to the nature of the discussions, participation is restricted to applicants who meet all of the following criteria:

  • Employees of an organisation carrying out R&I projects (excluding consultancy agencies, associations, and NCPs)
  • Personal involvement in the administrative and financial implementation of projects
  • Experience with at least one Horizon Europe or H2020 lump sum collaborative project that has completed at least one reporting period

The number of participants is limited. The Working Group therefore reserves the right to review registrations before confirming participation. In addition, to ensure geographical and organisational diversity, confirmation of participation may not be immediate. The Working Group will, however, endeavour to inform applicants as soon as possible. Early registration is also encouraged!

For the same reasons, organisations are kindly asked to limit registrations to one participant and to coordinate internally.

A post-event anonymised report will be prepared to inform stakeholders how lump sum funding is formed and implemented.

Further information

This edition of IGLO in Action on Lump Sum Funding will focus on the practical implementation of Horizon Europe/2020 collaborative (multi- beneficiary) projects. In particular, we are interested in experiences with aspects such as reporting, amendments, checks & audits, and monitoring.

This event will provide a dedicated space for practitioners to exchange experiences with peers and discuss challenges and best practices, and the insights shared during the discussions will be compiled in an anonymised report. The report will be made available to decision makers and other relevant stakeholders, so practical experience can help inform how lump sum funding is designed and implemented in the future.
