On 23 October 2023, the Association of ERC Grantees (AERG) confirmed it has joined the Initiative for Science in Europe (ISE).
Founded in September 2020, the AERG is committed to representing and supporting the community of European Research Council grantees while defending fundamental research.
The ISE is an independent platform representing European Learned Societies and Research Organisations across diverse disciplines and sectors. ISE supports all fields of science at a European level, involves researchers in the design and implementation of European science policies, and advocates strong independent scientific advice in European policymaking. ISE has been instrumental in promoting disruptive excellence-based funding programmes for scientific research.
