The European Commission has just published the Horizon Europe 2026-2027 Work Programmes for the parts of Horizon Europe listed below, with a total of EUR 14 billion of funding opportunities to boost research and innovation.

- Horizontal activities (Clean Industrial Deal, AI in Science)
- Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA)
- Research Infrastructures
- Cluster 1 – Health
- Cluster 2 – Culture, Creativity and Inclusive Society
- Cluster 3 – Civil Security for Society
- Cluster 4 – Digital, Industry and Space
- Cluster 5 – Climate, Energy and Mobility
- Cluster 6 – Food, Bioeconomy, Natural Resources, Agriculture and Environment
- Missions (The 5 Missions are: Adaptation to Climate Change; Cancer; Restore our Ocean and Waters; Climate-Neutral and Smart Cities; Soils)
- New European Bauhaus (NEB)
- European Innovation Ecosystems (EIE)
- Widening Participation and Strengthening the European Research Area (WIDERA)

Please do check the Work Programmes to see if there are any funding opportunities of interest.
We understand from the European Commission that the funding opportunities will also be searchable in a few days’ time on the European Commission’s Funding and Tenders Portal. However, it is likely to take the European Commission a couple of days to upload all of the call topics onto this system.

- A great short case study video (5 mins) where a company from Manchester (Technovative Solutions Ltd) explains how taking part in the EU’s Horizon Europe funding programme has helped them drive innovation. After first taking part in a Horizon project, they have since gone on to take part in lots of Horizon projects and so far they have not given away a single percent of their equity. There is also a written case study to highlight key points from the video.

Horizon Europe National Contact Points (NCPs)
- If you are from the UK and have identified a particular call topic of interest within one of the Work Programmes, you can contact the relevant member of our UK National Contact Point (NCP) team for further support and advice – when contacting us please let us know which Work Programme and which call topic(s) you are interested in (for example “HORIZON-CL4-2026-01-MAT-PROD-48: ‘Proof of market’ to improve valorisation and commercialisation of Horizon generated R&I results” in the “Digital, Industry and Space” Work Programme).
