The 2023 Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) Postdoctoral Fellowships (PF) call closed on 13 September 2023.
In total, the European Research Executive Agency (REA) has received 8,039 proposals of which 7,178 are European Fellowship applications and 861 are Global Fellowship applications. This is an increase of 995 proposals (+14.13%) compared to the 2022 MSCA PF call (7044 proposals). Proposals were submitted by organisations in 53 host countries.
There was also a marked increase in proposals to the Life Sciences Panel (+27.2%), though the Social Sciences and Humanities panel remained most popular. The Environment and Geosciences panel saw a slight decrease (-8.4%) in applications.
It is expected that applicants to the 2023 call will be informed of their results in mid-February 2024. A full indicative timeline is available on the European Commission’s MSCA PF website.
The 2023 MSCA PF call has an indicative budget of €260.47 million.
