The 2022 Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) COFUND call closed on 16 February 2023. The European Research Executive Agency (REA) received 107 proposals, which are distributed among the two MSCA COFUND schemes as follows:
- COFUND Doctoral Programmes: 56 proposals; and
- COFUND Postdoctoral Programmes: 51 proposals.
It is expected that the European Union will fund between 25 and 30 projects under this scheme, with an indicative total budget of €95 million.
As reported by UKRO previously, REA received 116 applications for the 2021 MSCA COFUND call, out of which 26 projects were ultimately funded. UKRO understands that, in total, 15 UK organisations are involved in eight successful 2021 MSCA COFUND postdoctoral fellowship programmes and ten UK organisations are involved in six 2021 MSCA COFUND doctoral training programmes.
REA will inform applicants about the outcome of their application in July 2023, according to the indicative timeline.
