EC Executive Vice-President Henna Virkkunen will launch a series of New European Bauhaus events at Expo 2025 Osaka.

The events will explore how architecture and urban planning can support democracy, resilience, and social cohesion, addressing global challenges like urban demographic changes, and leveraging local intelligence to create systemic shifts.

The New European Bauhaus is a cross-cluster initiative in Horizon Europe to develop and scale up innovative solutions for the transformation of neighbourhoods to become sustainable, inclusive and beautiful, fulfilling the three NEB Compass core values.

 

Aim of the event

The event includes a panel discussion with leading experts, and an audience Q&A, the session will highlight smart and innovative strategies for strengthening communities, and enhancing liveability, economic opportunities, and connectivity for all citizens.

Who should attend?

Researchers, innovators, public bodies, businesses, other organisations and community groups who are interested in NEB information and funding calls available in 2025, 2026 and 2027 in Horizon Europe.
