The New European Bauhaus
The New European Bauhaus (NEB) is a place-based initiative focusing on social inclusion and aesthetic appeal within the green transition of the built environment and community spaces.
NEB aims to accelerate the transformation of neighbourhoods through sustainable and inclusive design, realising three core values:
- Sustainability
- Beauty
- Inclusion
It supports three working principles fostering:
- Participatory processes
- Multi-level engagement
- Transdisciplinary R&I
Funding calls for NEB, open until 12 November 2025, sit under three destinations and span the Technology Readiness Levels:
- Connecting the green transformation, social inclusion and local democracy
- Circular and regenerative approaches for the built environment
- Innovative funding and new business models for the transformation of neighbourhoods
All currently open Horizon Europe NEB calls are open to UK-based participants. UK participants may only apply for calls that state “HORIZON-NEB” in the call identifier and are not eligible for NEB calls under other EU programmes e.g., LIFE, Cohesion.
