Horizon Europe Research Manager Event – Leeds

We are pleased to invite you to the Horizon Europe Research Manager event taking place at the University of Leeds on 12 February 2026, 09:00-16:30.

Aim of the event

This full-day event will provide an energising and insightful opportunity for colleagues across the Midlands, offering a mix of expert presentations from UK NCPs and Guest Speakers, hands-on teach-in sessions and time to network with peers working in similar roles within the Horizon Europe landscape.

The registration deadline is 9 January 2026. Participation is free of charge. Please note the survey may close earlier.

Through the day, you can expect updates on:

  • How UKRI continue to support UK Participation in Horizon Europe
  • Current perspective on FP10
  • Additional topics shaped directly by your input, such as Horizon Guarantee, Preparing Applications, Novelties in the 2026/2027 Work programme and much more.

When registering, please complete the accompanying survey to indicate the themes and areas you would like the agenda to address. The event is not restricted to any Horizon Europe topic or area, and the feedback you provide will enable us to tailor the programme to reflect the challenges and priorities that matter most to you.

A full agenda and list of speakers will be circulated to registered participants closer to the event.

Who should attend?

The event is intended for (but not limited to); Research Managers, European Liaison Officers and any staff involved with Horizon Europe funding in broader research support functions that currently do, could or should engage with HEU.

You are welcome to share this invitation with colleagues who may benefit from attending. Please note the limited in-person capacity and consider coordinating within your team before registering.

Technical specifications

The event will take place at the University of Leeds. Refreshments will be provided throughout the day. To help minimise waste and support our sustainability goals, we kindly encourage all participants to bring a reusable container should there be any leftover food.

In-person attendance is capped at 100 participants, with places allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. For those joining online, we will do our best to facilitate interactive breakout sessions and discussions, and we are working with our host to provide the best possible virtual experience.
