The EU R&I Days is the European Commission’s flagship research and innovation annual event.

It discusses key current issues in research and innovation policy, funding and progress.

It brings together policymakers, researchers, stakeholders and the public to debate and shape the future of research and innovation in Europe and beyond.

Aim of the event

The programme will cover key ground over two days and more than 20 sessions, including:

  • An opening address by Commission President, Ursula von der Leyen
  • Opening remarks by the Commissioner for Startups, Research and Innovation Ekaterina Zaharieva
  • Debates on the Startup and Scaleup Strategy, AI, Life Sciences, the European Innovation Strategy and the European Research Area.

Who should attend?

Policy makers, researchers, stakeholders and the public. Some key current issues will be discussed under specific sessions from AI to dual use.
