CONNECTS-UK is holding its launch event on 10th April 2024 at 17.30 GMT at Imperial College London (Exhibition Road SW7 2AZ. Room 200 – City and Guilds Building) and on-line.
CONNECTS-UK is a collaborative project conceptualised in 2022 by the scientific diasporas of Finland, France, Italy, Poland, Portugal, Netherlands, and Spain within the UK, together with Native Scientists, with the main goal to strengthen EU-UK scientific collaboration and research mobility. This project, funded by the European Union, will run until the end of 2026, an optimum moment following the UK successfully re-joining Horizon Europe.
This event will serve to present the activities and objectives of CONNECTS-UK to EU researchers in the UK, as well as to key stakeholders such as scientific attachés, universities, students, journalists, schools, and all those interested in the project. The afternoon will also offer an opportunity to listen to prestigious researchers, and engage with the CONNECTS -UK partners and sponsors. A networking reception will be offered after the event.
As space in the auditorium of Imperial College is limited, the places will be reserved on a first come, first served basis. For those travelling from outside London, the project will contribute to the cost of travel (bus, train, etc. tickets) with up to 60 GBP per person (up to 100 people, selected on a first come, first served basis). Please note that those requesting the reimbursement will have to keep a copy of the purchase ticket. The event will be also broadcasted on-line via streaming.
