Second “Horizon 2020 Audits: How to Get it Right?” Event in London

Registration is now open for a one-day event on Horizon 2020 audits with speakers from the European Commission, which UKRO will organise jointly with the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS) on Thursday 27 September 2018. The event will take place at the BEIS Conference Centre in 1 Victoria Street, London, SW1H 0ET between 9.30am and 5.00pm (a detailed agenda will be developed based on the information provided by the registrants and communicated at a later stage).

The event, which is free of charge, is targeted at those working on Horizon 2020 project finances and those responsible for preparing project audits. This could include project managers, but also accountants and auditors working on Horizon 2020 actions in research organisations, universities, SMEs and other enterprises.

It will be organised in the context of the EU-wide Horizon 2020 Communication Campaign – an initiative of the Common Legal Support Service and the Common Audit Service of DG Research and Innovation – and include presentations on the Horizon 2020 legal and financial rules by European Commission speakers including legal officers and auditors.

Registration

Please note that registration for this event will initially be limited to only one representative per organisation to allow the maximum possible number of organisations to take part. In case of cancellations, it will not be possible to nominate a substitute.

While registering, in the 'What do you want to get out of the event?' box, it will be possible to indicate the areas of particular interest that the speakers should address during the day (e.g. personnel costs, internal invoicing, etc.). The detailed programme of the day will then be designed based on the information provided by the registrants. The 'Additional information' box can be used to indicate any special requirements.

Upon registration, registrants will receive a standard email from UKRO acknowledging their submission. Please do not make any travel arrangements until you receive the actual confirmation of your place for the event, which we will send out in early July.

All presentations will be published on the UKRO Portal, together with a summary of the main messages from the speakers after the event.
