Aim of the Webinar

The webinar provided attendees with a short overview of the UK immigration landscape, focusing on those routes best suited to support short term mobility to the UK, such as to take part in research trips, placements, secondments, meetings, and other short visits. The information presented was based on UK visas and immigration information from the UK government.

The event was not designed to give immigration advice to individuals. Any individual requiring specific immigration advice must use an adviser approved through the Office of Immigration Services (OISC) or consult their internal HR or immigration team.

This event is organised by the UK Research Office (UKRO), in collaboration with the UKRI Global Mobility Team.

Who is it for?

The webinar is for research support staff, including from HR and immigration teams, as well as researchers involved in MSCA Doctoral Networks, COFUND, Staff Exchanges and Postdoctoral Fellowships, who will be sending researchers and staff to the UK, or will be receiving non-UK based researchers and staff for secondments, research trips, placements and other short periods of time.

The event will be of relevance to those involved in projects funded under Horizon 2020 and Horizon Europe.
