ERC 2020 Consolidator Grant: Information and Proposal Writing Event (London)

In its capacity as UK National Contact Point for the European Research Council, the UK Research Office, in partnership with the London School of Economics and Political Science, is holding an event for researchers who are interested in applying for the 2020 ERC Consolidator Grant call, on Friday 22 November 2019.

Aim of the Session

This session will provide participants with a detailed practical overview of the ERC Consolidator Grant scheme. Participants should gain a deeper understanding of the proposal format and the key issues which they are required to address in planning, writing and costing a proposal. The evaluation procedure and how to approach an application will also be explained.

There will be ample opportunity to ask questions during the event. Places will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.

Attendance will be free of charge, but registration is required.

Who should attend?

The sessions are aimed at researchers based in, or moving to the UK, who are planning to submit a proposal to the 2020 ERC Consolidator Grant call. The 2020 Consolidator Grant call is expected to open in early November 2019 and will close on 4 February 2020. Applicants are expected to be active researchers and to have a track record showing exceptional research potential.

Programme outline

The event will start at 10.00 and finish by 15.00 (with registration from 09.30).

Further information on the venue will be provided to delegates once they have registered.

Refreshments in the form of coffee and tea will be made available, and we will break for lunch, but lunch will not be provided.
