In its capacity as UK National Contact Point for the European Research Council, the UK Research Office, in partnership with City University of London, is holding an event for researchers who are interested in applying for the 2019 ERC Advanced Grant call, on Thursday 13 June 2019.

Please note, a second ERC Advanced Grant event will also be taking place in Newcastle on Friday 14th June 2019 which has a separate registration page.

Aim of the Session

This session will provide participants with a detailed practical overview of the ERC Advanced Grant scheme. Participants should gain a deeper understanding of the proposal format and the key issues they are required to address in planning, writing and costing a proposal. The evaluation procedure and how to approach an application will also be explained.

There will be ample opportunity to ask questions during the event. Places will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.

Attendance will be free of charge, but registration is required.

Who should attend?

The sessions are aimed at researchers based in, or moving to, the UK who are planning to submit a proposal to the 2019 ERC Advanced Grant call. The 2019 Advanced Grant call will open on 21 May 2019 and will close on 29 August 2019. Applicants are expected to be active researchers and to have a track record of excellent research.
