The UK National Contact Point (NCP) provides information and
advice relating to participation in the Marie Curie Actions.
These actions are implemented through the FP7 People Programme
and provide funding opportunities for mobility and training at all
stages of a researcher's career. They also seek to promote
research as a career and help create a market for researchers within
the European Research Area (ERA). There are schemes for individuals
to apply directly for funding, and schemes for organisations to
apply for funding. The Marie Curie funding schemes are bottom-up and
open to all sectors, with the applicant deciding the research area
of their project.
