ERC-2012-PoC

• Deadlines - the call has two deadlines to which proposals can be submitted:
  • Deadline: 3 May 2012, 17.00 (Brussels local time) 
  • Deadline: 3 October 2012, 17.00 (Brussels local time)

• Electronic Proposal Submission Service (EPSS):
• The application documents should be completed online, and have field-specific online guidance notes, and drop-down lists with options for some fields. However, for those who are interested in the general format of the documents, the following documents are for reference.   
  • Form A1 (.pdf)
  • Form A2 (one to be completed per institution, apart form any subcontractors)(.pdf)
  • Form A3 (this will have one line for each institution, apart from any subcontractors)(.pdf)
  • Part B (.rtf) 
  • Ethical Issues Annex (.rtf)
• To apply for an ERC Proof of Concept on EPSS:
  • Open the Call Page on the Research Participant Portal;
  • Scroll down to the 'Electronic Proposal Submission Service' section; and
  • Click on 'Go' next to 'Proof of Concept (PoC)'
  • Once you have set up your proposal, you can log in to EPSS directly

ERC-2013-PoC
There are expected to be further calls for PoC funding in the 2013 ERC Work Programme. This Work Programme is expected to be pubished in late Spring 2012.

ERC Funding Post 2013
The ERC is funded as part of the EU's current Framework Programme 7 (FP7) which runs from 2007-2013. A new EU research and innovation funding Programme, to be known as 'Horizon 2020', is expected to run from  2014-2020 and is currently under discussion. The ERC is expected to continue as part of this Horizon 2020 Programme, although the ERC's structure and funding levels within Horizon 2020 are still to be discussed and confirmed over the coming years.
